Product Description
Beta - carotene Powder is the most common and stable natural pigment in nature, orange-yellow fat-soluble compound. It is found in abundance in plants, giving fruits and vegetables their rich yellows and oranges. It is insoluble in water, methanol and ethanol, soluble in carbon disulfide, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvent. Beta - carotene is unstable to light, heat, and oxygen, not acid-resistant, but relatively stable to weak alkali.
β-carotene is widely used in food industry, feed industry, medicine and cosmetics industry due to its functions such as coloring, antioxidant and nutritional enhancement. Meanwhile, as a food additive and nutritional fortifier, it has been recommended by the Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization, and has been recognized as a Class A excellent nutritional pigment, and has been approved for use in 52 countries and regions in the world.
